BUILDING · BY ROLE · NODE
Senior Node.js engineers.
Vetted, then yours to approve.
Node.js engineers from Latin America who join your team on your hours, screened on what senior actually means in Node: event-loop discipline, failure that surfaces, and production ownership. You interview and approve every one.
WHAT SENIOR MEANS IN NODE
Anyone can stand up an endpoint. Seniors keep the event loop honest.
“Knows Node” usually means “has written JavaScript on a server”. The most used web technology among professional developers1 is easy to start and unforgiving to operate: one thread serves every request, and it stays fast right up until the day it quietly stops being fast. The screen has to find the people who know why.
HOW THE FOUR STAGES APPLY
Same four stages. Node-shaped.
Every Navta engineer clears four stages before reaching your calendar: code, system design, working English, references. For Node roles the first two run against the brief you set: your framework, your API surface, your traffic shape. The model is embedded engineers, and the hours are yours (computed here).
THE QUESTIONS HIRING MANAGERS ASK
Short answers, specific.
TypeScript or JavaScript?
In 2026, senior Node work is TypeScript work unless a legacy codebase says otherwise, and we screen the types as carefully as the logic: boundaries validated at runtime, generics used for contracts rather than sport. If your codebase is still plain JavaScript, say so in the brief; migrating one gradually is work seniors have usually done before.
Express, Fastify, NestJS, or our own framework?
Stack specifics go in the brief and get screened against directly: the code stage runs on exercises shaped like your codebase rather than a generic kata. Frameworks are the easy part of Node; the hard parts (the event loop, the failure model, the dependency judgment) travel with the engineer across all of them.
JavaScript on both ends: can they carry the front end too?
Sometimes, and it should be decided on purpose rather than discovered in a sprint. An engineer who owns Node services and can safely edit the React app is a different hire from a true senior full-stack engineer, and both are different from a senior React specialist. Say which one the brief means; we screen for that one.
How fast can a Node engineer start?
Shortlist in days once the brief is set. Your interviews run at the speed of your calendar, and a start follows within days of approval, plus any notice period the engineer owes. First week: your repos, your standups, your deploy pipeline.
Who owns the code they write?
You do. The work happens in your repositories from day one, under one contract with Navta, Inc. governed by US law, with assignment language that says what it should. Nothing to migrate, nothing held hostage.
